About
Winter tends to be a quiet month in the garden, and while growth slows right down, there are still vegetables that can be grown. Gardening is a good way to connect children with nature and teach them how to care for Papatūānuku during the cold winter months. Maramataka and Matariki also play an important role in guiding gardening during Winter. In this webinar we will look at how you can include the garden in your Matariki celebrations and discuss how we might involve tamariki in Winter gardening activities to care and protect it through the cold winter months.
