A simple way to turn empty plastic bottles into handy plant waterers; just cut the bottom off a bottle, screw on a spike and fill with water. Insert the spike at the base of the plant (be sure not to damage the roots). Adjust the valve to control the amount of water dispensed.
The 25mm thread size of the nozzles mean they fit most commercial plastic bottles.
